Review : Opulence on a budget. Because the ZL Ford Fairlane shares its’ mechanicals with the popular Ford XF FAlcon model, parts and servicing are incredibly cheap and plentiful. Yet they have style, room and comfort in spades. 6 cylinder registration and insurance is also reasonably priced.

The ZL Fairlane has good response to taking off very quickly off the mark. The steering is very touchy, and also has good response. Braking is extremely good. Interior is roomy and comfortable. 12/12/2002 · well the XF Ghia and ZL fairlaine are pretty much exact in terms of drivetrain and elecs. Common problems include the wiring breaking between the doors and the centre pillars/front pillars, power window motor/regulator failure, and the bad earths that these cars are plauged with.
